On April 4, 2024, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC) and its partners organised the International Day of Mine Awareness Campaign with the support of New Myanmar Foundation, attended by 16 partner members. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about mine history and importance, advocating for global landmine eradication. The agenda included an introduction, an overview of mine awareness history, a discussion on the importance of mine awareness, and a video presentation highlighting the impact of landmines. Participants engaged in an interactive session, changing their profile names to show solidarity.
The event concluded with a call to action, urging participants to spread awareness and support mine clearance efforts. The campaign educated and motivated attendees to pledge their support for a landmine-free world, fostering solidarity and commitment to the cause.
