On January 11, 2024, Digital Security Batch (4) training was conducted with twenty-one dedicated participants, including (15) females, ( 5 ) males, and ( 1 ) participants not mentioning his/her gender. This report also includes the objectives, discussion points, outcomes and impact, and monitoring evaluation results of the training. The participants were eager to enhance their understanding of digital security practices. The primary goal of the digital security training was to equip participants with crucial knowledge and digital skills necessary to protect their digital presence and sensitive information in an increasingly digital world.
Throughout the training, the participants’ diverse backgrounds enriched discussions on key topics such as internet safety, data privacy, encryption, and secure communication. The training provided digital materials, such as PowerPoint and video clips, for participants to reference during and after the sessions. The inclusion ratio for this batch was balanced, with participants from various sectors and regions, including human rights activists, CDM members, women activists, and other professionals. A total of twenty human rights defenders and activists acquired knowledge on personal digital security, empowering them to continue their work safely. In conclusion, the participants’ eagerness to learn and commitment to best practices underscores the positive impact of these training sessions on enhancing digital security awareness, fostering a more security-conscious digital landscape.
