Report Video on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) due to Military’s violations in February, 2024
The Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), Magway Region Human Rights Network (MHRN), and Youth Empowerment (YE) have collaborated to release a video report detailing the situation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Myanmar, resulting from military violations in February 2024.
Following the military’s unlawful takeover, numerous states and regions across Myanmar have experienced extensive human rights abuses. These violations have driven a significant number of people to abandon their homes, with the Sagaing Division being particularly impacted. The chart featured in the video displays the recorded instances of displacement due to human rights abuses by the terrorist military group in February 2024.
This report has been compiled using information from human rights activists on the ground and news media sources. Therefore, there may be some discrepancies, and the actual number of displaced individuals could be higher.
