Gender-Based Violence and Fair Trial Rights Awareness training (Batch 2)
On February 7, 2023, the New Myanmar Foundation (NMF) and Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC) conducted the second batch of the Gender-Based Violence and Fair Trial Rights Awareness training from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The session was attended by 27 individuals from diverse backgrounds, including activists, Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) participants, and party members.
The training commenced with participant introductions, followed by an overview of the training contents. Participants then completed pre-tests to gauge their initial knowledge. The agenda included an introduction to the laws in Myanmar and their implications, a detailed discussion on Fair Trial Rights, and an exploration of Gender-Based Violence. The session concluded with participants taking post-tests to evaluate their learning. This training aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of legal rights and gender-based violence, equipping them with the knowledge to advocate for fair trials and address gender-based violence in their communities.
