On November 27, 2024, the Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), in collaboration with partner organizations, hosted an online awareness campaign in observance of the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery. With 24 participants, including CRSV members, the session focused on modern slavery, human trafficking, and online scams.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The organizing team provided insights into these issues, emphasizing the rise of online exploitation, systemic reporting barriers, and the need for stronger legal protections. Participants shared experiences and discussed the importance of community awareness, improved victim support, and advocacy to combat these issues.
