On May 1, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the Women Lead Resource Center  and its partners hosted an online awareness campaign in recognition of International Labor Day with the support of  New Myanmar Foundation (NMF). The event began with an introduction explaining the history and significance of International Labor Day, emphasizing the importance of workers’ rights. Participants then engaged in a discussion about various labor rights, including fair wages, safe working conditions, and access to benefits, with a focus on challenges faced by women in the workforce. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a show of solidarity, attendees were encouraged to rename and update their profiles to include messages or symbols related to International Labor Day or specific labor rights causes. The campaign successfully raised awareness about International Labor Day, fostered knowledge sharing on labor rights, and highlighted areas for further advocacy, particularly for women workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
