Report Video on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) due to Military’s violations in March, 2024

The Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), Magway Region Human Rights Network (MHRN), and Youth Empowerment (YE) have released a joint video report focusing on the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Myanmar, driven by military violations in March 2024.

Since the military’s unlawful coup, widespread human rights abuses have plagued various states and regions in Myanmar. These violations have caused countless individuals to flee their homes, with the Sagaing Division being particularly hard-hit. The video includes a chart that illustrates the recorded instances of displacement due to human rights abuses by the terrorist military group in March 2024.

This report draws on information from human rights activists and news media, so there may be some discrepancies, and the actual number of displaced persons could be higher.
