On May 12, 2024, the Women Lead Resource Center (WLRC), with the support of New Myanmar Foundation (NMF), conducted a Women’s Rights Training in Myanmar, attended by 20 participants. The training aimed to empower women by enhancing their understanding of fundamental human rights principles applicable to women, including concepts of equality, non-discrimination, and bodily autonomy.

WLRC also addressed Gender-Based Violence (GBV), discussing its prevalence, impacts, and prevention strategies, while providing participants with insights into legal rights concerning domestic violence, workplace discrimination, and sexual harassment. Through interactive sessions such as presentations, group discussions, case studies, and role-playing activities, participants gained practical knowledge and skills to advocate effectively for themselves and others, contributing to the promotion of women’s rights and gender equality in Myanmar.
